   ABOUT THE AUTHOR

G.K. Parks has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History. After spending some time in law school, G.K. changed paths and earned a Master of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Now, that education is being put to use, creating a fictional world based upon years of study and research.

G.K. Parks is the creator of the Alexis Parker series. G.K. has always been fascinated with mysteries and thrillers and sought to create a flawed, realistic protagonist. After months of scrapped ideas, a single scene emerged from the pile of rubbish which would later become part of Likely Suspects, and thus, Alex Parker was born. She's a strong, female investigator with a difficult past and the insecurities to match.

The characters and plots are meant to feel realistic, as are the investigative procedures in place. Obviously, these are works of fiction, and some creative licensing occurs in order to make the stories more entertaining. After all, no one wants to read a cut and dry novel with nothing but jargon and people filing paperwork.

Each novel in the Alexis Parker series is a standalone story, requiring no prior knowledge of the characters or previous events since each mystery is self-contained. However, for a deeper character connection, you may prefer to read the books in order. Here is a chronological list of the Alexis Parker novels based on the timeline set forth in the plot:

Outcomes and Perspective: The Complete Prequel Series (comprised of Assignment Zero, Agent Prerogative, and The Final Chapter)
Likely Suspects
The Warhol Incident
Mimicry of Banshees
Suspicion of Murder
Racing Through Darkness
Camels and Corpses
Lack of Jurisdiction
Dying for a Fix (coming April 2015)
